I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:

Exam Season is just as tough on parents as it is on teens

You are here because your teen is struggling with their self-belief and has no idea how to get started with their revision.

You’re worried you're not giving your teen the right support because you feel unqualified and unequipped with the right revision strategies and approaches.

And you also worry that you are not getting the balance right of encouraging them to revise whilst not putting them under too much pressure

I want you to know, it gets to be easier…

Having worked with over 300 teens over 13 years of teaching both GCSE and A Level, I’ve uncovered a simple, proven roadmap to support your teens (and parents) during exam season.

Introducing…

To:

  • Getting really clear on why your teens’ confidence is depleted and start to uncover all the reasons why they are holding themselves back when it comes to preparing for exams

  • Feeling empowered and confident that you know which revision strategies and tools are going to work for your teen, and excited to help them get started

How?

  • Providing you with simple and effective revision strategies so that you can teach your teen to use straight away-even if you have no knowledge of the subjects they are studying for.

  • Guiding you as a parent on self belief tools so that you can support and nurture your teen’s self-esteem, helping them to feel confident and ready to cope with the demands of Exam Season.

By the end of this session you will:

  • Be given an introduction to Self-Belief Coaching for teenagers

  • Be given resources that can help teenagers find the root cause of their self-doubt and ways to heal it, with a specific focus on their relationship with exams and assessments

  • Be given a toolkit full of revision strategies that are simple and effective

Exams With Ease

has been carefully structured to introduce you to some of the tools and strategies I use with my clients to help them understand and transcend their self-doubt. I cover how to help your teens to see where their self-doubt comes from, and how to rewrite these narratives.

I share with you how I work with young people to set goals that are exciting as well as achievable, and how to plan the necessary steps they need to take to get there. This is where I will teach you specific revision tools and strategies that your teen can start using straightaway.

This includes how to break down larger tasks into small and manageable chunks, how to create a revision timetable that allows plenty of time for their hobbies and extracurricular activities, and simple revision tools that will help them to retain information they need to know for their exams.

Meet your host

Throughout my career as a secondary school English teacher, I've consistently worked with year 11 and year 12 AS classes, and later on, GCSE and A Level students for over 13 years. My mission was always to empower these students with the best strategies to unlock their full potential in exams. The results I achieved were remarkable, with one year 11 class of 31 students all earning As and A* in their English Literature exams!

My journey has taught me the most effective methods for teenagers to learn the essential subject matter necessary to reach their target grades.

I've also mastered the art of scrutinising exam papers, enabling students to navigate what is required of them to reach their desired grade. My unique perspective, combined with my training and experience as a Self-Belief coach, has allowed me to refine my approach.

From this expertise, I've crafted my signature framework, which I now implement with all my 1:1 exam coaching clients. In this workshop, I share these invaluable insights with you. You'll gain access to the precise tools and methodologies required to guide your teen through this challenging and stressful phase of their educational journey. Your struggles and concerns as a parent will be addressed, and together, we'll pave the way for your teen's academic success.

What people are saying…

“I thought it was fantastic. Really well presented. The best thing for me has been the revision strategies which have been fantastic. They have given me the tools to actually help my daughter with confidence and not just be a  bystander to her exam worries and melt downs. So if I have been able to implement what you have shared immediately I would say that was a sign of an excellent workshop.

Also found the intro to the session really useful on mental blocks and helped me remember what its like to revise and how my daughter might be feeling.”

“I  think your strategies will be really helpful and the idea of planning specific tasks rather than just planning to study physics for example makes it more achievable. I think sometimes it just seems overwhelming to them and they don't know where to start.

I will get them to set some goals to work towards to hopefully provide some motivation. You have helped me to feel a little bit less frustrated.”

“I found your session particularly useful in making me think about how we can manage our and his expectations, help to instil self belief in him and help him to get going with revision by chunking in down and implementing some of the strategies you suggested.

We actually had a discussion around self-belief and active revision and it was reassuring to hear from him that he wanted to hit 5 and 6's and not the 4s and 5s he's been predicted. He also understood that his revision had to be active and we also made a lose revision plan for him.”
